THE OUTLET
is our youth program for young people in grades
7-12. We gather each Sunday and Wednesday evening
for dinner and worship/study. This group is designed
to be an outlet to power spiritual growth and true
friendships, as well as an outlet for questions,
fears, and excitement. Our time together is designed
to be a fun and creative way to grow closer to our
peers while exploring the ever changing dynamics of
our faith. While we are plugged into so many things
we feel that it is important to make our most solid
connection the one that keeps us plugged in to God!
Throughout the year we
participate in community service projects, mission
trips, inclusive recreation, fellowship, and
authentic study and worship. We open our doors to
everyone and hope you will join us soon! For more
information or to ask questions e-mail the Director
of Youth Ministries,
Sara Pierce.

STUDY & WORSHIP
Study and worship are important
parts of the Christian life. It's not always easy to
live like Christ...but it is important to us that we
seek ways to get closer. Bible Study and authentic
worship are times that we use to build our
relationship with Christ and praise God for all of
the blessings we receive daily. A few of our worship
and study activities are:
- Resurrection—One
of the largest gatherings of youth in the world
and it happens each year in Gatlinburg, TN
- Elijah Project—A
semester long prayer
ministry for youth and adults, ending with a
banquet and celebration during
Advent season
- Faith Singers—Senior and
Junior High choir
- Easter Sunrise Service—a
Youth lead worship
- Sunday School—each
Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
- The Outlet
(UMYF) — our Sunday
evening youth gathering
- Wednesday Alive —
a mid-week dinner and Bible Study
FELLOWSHIP
Christian Fellowship is something
that ranks high on our list of things to do! We know
that the early church believed in the importance of
surrounding yourself with other believers so that
you might be supported, loved, and cared for in a
safe environment. At First United Methodist we agree
and strive to provide that same environment for our youth!
The simple art of hanging out can change the course
of a bad day and can certainly be an added blessing
to an already super day!
- After
School Program --- Come to our
tailgate! Each Wednesday after school the youth
wing is open right after school each Wednesday.
Come decide if you are a true guitar hero or see
if you have what it takes to out wakeboard Sara
in the Wii world! If you are not into video
games that is ok too. We have a study area,
plenty of snacks, board games, and great
conversation. Hope to see you Wednesday at 3:00!

We enjoy singing contemporary
Christian music, as well as more
traditional pieces. We participate
in worship several times during the
year and help lead special services.
We sing
for the residents of area nursing
homes and also sing at
area Circuit Churches. Each fall we
have a fundraiser called the "Songs
