The risen Christ set the mission of
all Christians when he said, “Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything that I have
commanded you." Based on this Great Commission, the
United Methodist Church has stated its purpose to be
"to make disciples of Jesus Christ" by
welcoming-worshiping-nurturing-sending.
In keeping with this commission,
FUMC Sevierville has established ministries that
help each of us—regardless of age—improve our
relationship with Christ, reach out to people
seeking a relationship with Christ, as well as
spreading the Word to those who have yet to receive
it. Browse through the links below to get a better
understanding of our church ministries, and then
pick one or more to participate in! We look forward
to seeing you at our next get together! |
 |
Family Ministries. This ministry focuses on the
family as a whole. Activities range from fellowship and fun
to nurturing and teaching. |
 |
Adult Ministries. This ministry is aimed at adults
of all ages and in all phases of life. You can find one that
fits you like glove (or you can help us start one)! |
 |
Youth Ministries. Our youth ministries are for 6th
grade through high school. Youth group, retreats, mission
trips—we've got what you want (or need). |
 |
Children's Ministries. Sunday School, Easter egg
hunts, Christmas pageants, and Vacation Bible School. Our
fun-filled activities will help your child love church. |
|
 |
Music Ministries. Methodists love music (and food,
but that's a different ministry). From choirs to handbells,
you can find a way to make a joyful noise at FUMC. |
 |
Prayer Ministries. We all need a little help and
support and comfort from time to time. Our prayer ministries
help move your burdens onto the Lord's broad shoulders. |
 |
Outreach Ministries. Our outreach ministries let us
shine our light with our communities, the region, and the
world—making disciples through our example. |
 |
Scouting Ministries. FUMC Sevierville hosts both Boy
and Girl Scout troops. These wholesome activities are a
great way to get your child away from TV and out of the
mall! |
